Mr. Shannon O’Kelley, our Chief Operating Officer, is the primary preceptor of the UCLA Health Administrative Fellowship. In his role at UCLA, Shannon is responsible for the operations of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital, and an array of outpatient centers across the west side of Los Angeles.

Under Shannon’s guidance, UCLA continues to advance its performance on quality, safety, service, and operational performance measures. U.S.News & World Report consistently ranks UCLA among the top five hospitals in the nation.

Shannon joined UCLA from New York-Presbyterian Hospital--the University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell medical schools, where he held the role of Executive Director for International and Corporate Health. Prior to his role at New York Presbyterian, Shannon worked for Johns Hopkins Health System, where he held positions in International Services, Department of Psychiatry Administration, and Strategic Planning and Business Development.
